Dr. Cornelia Sindermann

Cornelia Sindermann did her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology as well as her Ph.D. at Ulm University, Ulm, Germany. In addition, she did research stays at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, and at the University of Toledo, Toledo, OH, USA. Currently, she is an Independent Research Group Leader within the Interchange Forum for Reflecting on Intelligent Systems at the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany. 

Cornelia is interested in how intelligent systems change the way information is created, distributed, and presented to individuals online. Thereupon, she is interested in figuring out how this affects information consumption and processing by different individuals as well as their political opinion formation (extremization, polarization, radicalization), respectively.  To investigate those relations, she applies a multitude of methods including surveys, experiments, and the analysis of digital trace data.
