Dr. Jana Berkessel
Jana Berkessel is a post-doctoral research fellow in cross-cultural social and personality psychology at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research at the University of Mannheim. She got her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Cologne. Recently, she completed her PhD at the University of Mannheim (with a research stay at Columbia University).
Her research focuses on how personal determinants (like socioeconomic status) and sociocultural contexts shape well-being. To do so, she uses large-scale archival data as well as experiments and digital data sources.
In the context of the network, Jana is looking forward to complementing her current methodological toolkit with more computational personality computing approaches – and to provide a basis for other researchers to do the same.
