Kristin Jankowsky is in the final phase of her PhD in the field of Psychological Assessment at the University of Kassel. She received a B.Sc in Sociology at the Georg August University of Göttingen, a B.Sc. in Psychology at the FernUniversität in Hagen, and a M.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Kassel.

Her main research interests are pitfalls of machine learning modeling in psychological research, the combination of open science practices and machine learning modeling, developing optimized short scales using metaheuristics, and personality assessment. By addressing methodological issues that arise when using complex algorithms for the analysis of data common in psychological research (i.e., relatively small samples including measurement errors, missing values, or multi-level structures), she currently works towards guidelines for unbiased validation of machine learning models that can be an asset for the network and personality computing in general.
